Salsa Classes Update – March 2020

Originally published on Facebook on March 13, 2020.

Dear salsa students,

As you all know, we’re living in uncertain times given the COVID-19 global pandemic. In an effort to do our part in flattening the curve, we will be canceling our upcoming Salsa Series indefinitely.

Like you, we are saddened to not be able to get together and enjoy our weekly dance sessions because they do so much for our wellbeing, but, in this case, the wellbeing of all of our communities is paramount.

We’re following the advice and best practices laid out by top-level health organizations like the CDC, and, out of an abundance of caution, will do our part in limiting social gatherings by not holding classes.

We encourage everyone to do what they can and to think of others who may not be as fortunate to have a super healthy system as you to face this terrible disease. We love you all and can’t wait to get through these times so we can enjoy dancing together again.

In the meantime, there’s always salsa music and solo footwork/body movements you can practice at home. You can also reach out to us anytime for any reason and we’ll be looking for additional ways to stay in touch and supplement our love for salsa music and salsa dance with you all.

Stay strong, be kind to each other, and we’ll see you on the dance floor soon enough.

With much love,
Jhony & Veronica
